ACWES Mission
African Canadian Women’s Engagement Society (ACWES) is committed to empowering women, supporting seniors, youth, and vulnerable individuals through education, skills development, community outreach, partnerships, and access to resources that improve quality of life.
We work to strengthen physical, emotional, cultural, social, and economic well-being by creating inclusive programs, workshops, and community initiatives that inspire growth, dignity, and connection.

Testimonial
When the COVID-19 crisis shook the world, many people suffered in silence—but seniors, women, and vulnerable families were among the most affected.
During that difficult time, I could not sit still. I began going door to door, leaving simple notes that said:

If you need help, call me. I am available.
I made myself available to the community.
Many women were isolated. Some faced abuse. Some homes had no food. Children were suddenly home, families were overwhelmed, and many people did not know where to turn.
